Private Portfolio Management

Client assets under our stewardship are conservatively managed, with relative safety of principal and earning a competitive return as the primary goals. For clients with a minimum of $250,000 of investable assets, we offer customized portfolio management services. Our investment management process for a client begins with a comprehensive review of their financial profile, objectives and constraints. Then, after determining the needs of the client, we draft an investment policy statement that acts like a map for us to help the client reach their goals. Next, we allocate the investment portfolio such that it caters to the client's target rate of return, risk tolerance, time horizon, and liquidity needs, while carefully watching for any tax, legal, and other implications. Lastly, we monitor the portfolio and make any necessary adjustments, based on the changing needs or desires of the client.

Investment Approach

Haas Investment Management utilizes strict fundamental analysis, emphasizing a "bottom-up" approach to security analysis, concentrating on factors that contribute to the underlying value of the equity securities of well-managed, well-financed companies. To this end, the firm's approach is unconventional and somewhat contrarian to the typical "Wall Street" approach, caring little about broad economic factors, market timing, or momentum, and instead adhering to a value investment discipline that is designed to deliver suitable returns, on average and over time. Securities portfolios may be comprised of U.S. equities, U.S. Government bonds, municipal bonds, corporate bonds, American Depository Receipts (ADR's), Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Master Limited Partnership interests, and mutual funds.
